That is an amazing building!
WOW is all I can say to the building. But the thing that I thought was super cool is the man made lake next to it. I wonder how big and deep that lake is?
@ E Cigarette: It isn’t very deep at all. In fact, it’s more like a wading pool than a lake. It is huge, though, and contains the world’s largest fountain.
What’s going to happen to these people in a number of years, when oil is no longer in demand? What a bunch of egocentric morons, building THIS, instead of investing into the future of their economy.
@ Genrih: Oil-based income only represents about 6% of Dubai’s gross domestic product. Tourism is increasingly providing the majority of their income and buildings like this will only help.
The downturn in the world’s economy has definitely affected Dubai, but they aren’t “morons” by any stretch of the imagination.
